These years new Yam festival was sponsored again by Hon Ifeanyi Francis Uchendu ,he is only doing it because he value and want to Unite ohafia at large.
all ohafians were very happy to celebrate the second year of unity iriji cultural display which we are noted for.
all village masquerade processed to achichi ohafia were all council of ohafia monarchs and other invited guest were already sited
the event sarted with opening prayer followed by national anthem and Abia State Anthem
The chairmen of the event cHief Udo K . Ukpai , welcome all ohafians and the special guest of Honour executive governor of abia state ,Dr.Okezie Ikpeazu and some other state officials and Abia state House members
he thanked God for keeping hem alive to witness this year celebration ,he call on youth to use these period as a period of rededication and not a time of unnecessary show of rascality in terms of irresponsibility cultural expression
Hon Ifeanyi Francis Uchendu has indeed brought peace to ohafia by building a unity hall were all council of ohafia monarchs will be coming together to deliberate on the improvement and progress of all ohafians the ohafia unity hall was also commissioned by Dr okezie Ikpeazu the executive Governor of Abia State
O.I.U president Hon.B.O Orji (KSM) equally called on all sons and daughters oHafia to identify with this unifying culture and be part of consequently celebration in years to come and also use tHis medium to tell all ohafians both far and near to come back home and invest in our hometown so as to foster a positive social and industrial revolution.
